Overview
Minimal Alarm is a simple alarm clock app. It is designed to let you set an alarm time, choose repeat days, enable or disable snooze, and choose either a built-in alarm sound or a custom audio file from your device.
Data we collect
Minimal Alarm does not collect or transmit personal data to Lorvium or third parties.
The app does not require an account and does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share user data with the developer or third parties.
Minimal Alarm does not include analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, social SDKs, crash reporting SDKs, or any server-side user account system.
The app does not request or use access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, call logs, SMS, photos, or broad device storage.
Data stored locally on your device
Minimal Alarm stores only the settings needed for the alarm to work. These settings are stored locally on your device and are not sent to Lorvium or any third party.
The locally stored settings may include:
- selected alarm hour and minute
- selected repeat days
- whether the alarm is enabled
- whether snooze is enabled
- selected alarm sound mode
- selected built-in sound
- selected custom sound file reference, if you choose a custom sound from your device
If you select a custom alarm sound, Minimal Alarm stores only the local file reference needed to play that sound later. The selected audio file is not uploaded, copied to a server, analyzed, sold, or shared.
Custom audio files
Custom alarm sounds are selected through the Android system file picker.
Minimal Alarm does not request broad storage access. The app can access only the audio file that you choose through the system picker, and only for the purpose of playing it as your alarm sound.
If the selected file is moved, deleted, or no longer available to the app, Minimal Alarm may fall back to a built-in alarm sound so that the alarm can still ring.
Permissions used by the app
Minimal Alarm uses Android permissions only for core alarm functionality.
- Notifications
- Used to show alarm notifications and alarm status.
- Exact alarms
- Used to ring the alarm at the exact time selected by the user.
- Full-screen intent
- Used to show the alarm screen when the alarm rings, including when the device is locked or the screen is off.
- Foreground service and media playback
- Used to keep alarm audio playing reliably while the alarm is ringing.
- Wake lock
- Used only while the alarm is actively ringing, so the device can wake and the alarm can be heard.
- Boot completed
- Used to restore an enabled alarm after the device restarts.
These permissions are used only to provide the alarm clock functionality requested by the user.
Internet, ads, analytics, and tracking
Minimal Alarm does not use internet communication for app functionality.
The app does not show ads, does not use advertising identifiers, does not track users across apps or websites, and does not use analytics or profiling tools.
Data sharing
Minimal Alarm does not share user data with third parties.
Because the app does not collect or transmit personal data, there is no personal data shared with advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, cloud services, or other external services.
Data retention and deletion
Alarm settings are stored locally on your device for as long as the app remains installed or until you change them.
You can delete locally stored app data by:
- changing or resetting alarm settings inside the app
- removing a selected custom sound
- clearing the app data in Android system settings
- uninstalling the app
Uninstalling the app removes the locally stored alarm settings from your device.
Backups
Minimal Alarm is configured not to back up app data through Android backup. This helps avoid restoring outdated alarm settings or custom sound references onto another device.
Children
Minimal Alarm is not directed specifically to children.
The app does not contain ads, in-app purchases, user-generated content, social features, external links, or tracking.
Security
Minimal Alarm follows a data-minimization approach. The app stores only the local settings required for alarm functionality and does not transmit those settings outside the device.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the app functionality changes or if legal, platform, or Google Play requirements change.
The latest version of this Privacy Policy will be published at the same URL provided in Google Play Console.
